For Start Somewhere on Social Media
High-quality content is worth its weight in gold—especially in fundraising. Start Somewhere provides us with particularly relevant content, and we ensure that this valuable material reaches a broad audience and that the projects receive sustained visibility. Through targeted communication strategies, we make sure the messages are widely disseminated.
Task: Start Somewhere is a non-profit limited liability company (gGmbH) based in Munich. It produces innovative cement blocks known as “TwistBlocks” and uses them to build affordable houses and schools in informal settlements. The TwistBlocks are manufactured locally in factories by local residents. Start Somewhere is constantly looking for new partners and donations in order to generate greater awareness for its project. To this end, we use all major social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok, as well as business networks like LinkedIn.
Solution: Together with the client, we developed a concept to strategically populate the social media channels and the website with content. We discuss the status of new construction projects and the accompanying visual material on a weekly basis. Based on this, we create both short posts for social media platforms and more in-depth blog posts for the website. In regular meetings with the communications team, we exchange ideas on effective communication channels and provide advice on PR-related matters.
Good content is not only crucial in traditional media relations but also plays a key role in fundraising.
